Once I opened the package and the air hit it, it expanded nicely. I was surprised at how smooth and soft the feel of the material is. It is perfect for bedding. It is also the perfect thickness for a hot sleeper. There is even a slightly cool feel to the fabric, as well, and it is about half the thickness of a regular comforter, so it's just right. Another option, if you want, is to reverse the set since the back of the shams and blanket are solid white.I am really pleased with the ensemble. The pattern is crisp and the colors are clear. It is a fantastic set, especially in the summer. It would make a great gift for the hunter in your life, too.
