This beautiful beachy boho bed-in-a-bag was an amazing find and exactly what I was looking for! I first ordered it from a department store and paid $50 more! Then I saw it on Amazon for $50 less and the cheap side of me went into gear. I ordered the exact same set, same sku # and everything and when the Amazon one arrived it was completely different. I will explain the two below. But keep in mind that it could just be that the same company has changed factories or it may just be a difference in batches. Or,....they make a different quality for the Amazon seller. But the labeling on both sets had the exact same numbers and picture.THE AMAZON SETI will start with this set, because it’s the one I kept and the one I liked the most. The material on the comforter is silky soft (not cotton feeling at all) and reminds me a little bit of the material on a sleeping bag. I’m very happy about the material because it feels more durable and like it would wash better. It is a little louder than the other set when i run my hand across it. I have two Yorkies and they like to hang out with us in bed in the evenings before we put them in their own beds. This has held up so far to their jumping all over my bed and playing. So far no snags and it’s been a couple of weeks. Next, the color is more vibrant and more saturated. The grey looking color leans more to the taupe tone,....in the auto business they call this color greige (grey/beige). I have it with grayish tan (or tannish gray) weathered looking furniture. The grey in my furniture pulls out the grey in the comforter. The backside of the comforter is definitely darker than the department store set. One thing I don’t like is how wrinkly it is. I’m afraid to throw it in the dryer or run an iron across it for fear that this fabric will melt. Now for the thickness, it I way thicker than the more expensive on I got from the department store! Like twice as fluffy! The sheets too were much softer feeling. I will edit this and add more info on the sheets, as I have the comforter set on my bed with tan sheets right now that I bought for their cooling properties. UPDATE: I put the sheets on today, they fit perfectly after precasting them! Next update will let you know about their comfort level. This also comes with a bed skirt, two shams (king size with the king set), and a throw pillow that has embroidery on it to match the set (again different color thread than the other set).THE DEPARTMENT STORE SETThis set had a thin cotton feeling (like gauze or thin linen) cover on the comforter that had a very faded look. I was really worried that one excited puppy moment could poke a hole in the thin cotton. The sheets were terribly scratchy (I never had a chance to wash them or use them, because I returned the set as soon as I received it and never used them). The colors were more towards the grey side and very faded looking. The reverse side of the comforter was a lighter gray. The comforter is not as thick and fluffy as the Amazon set and the whites seem dulled by the ability to see thru the material. That all being said, it wasn’t as wrinkly and was a little more on the quite side. It did look like something that wouldn’t wash well and would stain easily.I uploaded two photos showing the color difference that I talked about. The throw pillows are my own,....from Ross. The sheets in the photos are also my own, just tan ones I used to pull out the tan colors. Although today I put on the beautiful sheets that came with the set and it looks even better! LOVE this set so much!The comforter feels cool not hot and heavy but will keep you warm at night. It also a very pretty gray and taupe. I didn't use the sheets.Love this set, colors are so perfect for our guest bedroom. We have taupe/gray colors & this pulled it all together. Pillow shams are so nice & the extra accessory pillow is a plus. Washed bed sheets right away & they came out great, but remove from dryer right away. My only issue is that our mattress is quite thick so fitted sheet is a bit of a struggle to put on. Aside from that, it’s beautiful.I had read though other reviews before making this purchase. I ultimately decided that it was just best to try it for myself and draw my own conclusions. Hopefully this review will help someone.I already knew what color combo I wanted, so it was only a matter of finding a set that offered the pieces I wanted/needed in a pattern that was pleasing to me. This set caught my eye instantly! After much online comparison shopping, I decided to get this. It certainly did not disappoint. It's definitely a beautiful set! The colors and patterns are gorgeous! I even love the pattern on the sheets. (I'm very particular with how things look)Would I consider this to be a "top quality" product. No, I wouldn't. However, being a cat owner (2 that like to be sneaky, and eventually their claws will leave pulls in something), and shopping in the price range I was shopping in, I was neither looking for nor expecting top quality. This isn't exactly cheap garbage either, though. The material on the comforter and shams is soft, but a little on the thin side. My pillows have thick navy blue and white stripes, which show slightly through the shams. Not a big deal for me. One recommendation I can give would be to remove the comforter from the dryer as quickly as possible after washing, as the material is a bit prone to wrinkling. The sheets, in my opinion, have more of a linen-like feel, than a silky feel, but nothing I would define as scratchy feeling. I normally don't give a darn about extra decorative pillows, but the one in this set is awesome! I love it! Now, bed skirts, on the other hand....I never use them. So I can't give an accurate comment on that. Sorry.In comparison to my previous sets, this one has, what I describe to be a light, fluffy feel. I live in New England, so I always have an extra blanket for the winter. This set, along with that blanket, does a good job keeping me cozy at night.Overall, I'm very happy with this set. Love the colors and pattern! Neither dull and boring, nor over-the-top and obnoxious. Nice and cheery!Love this set it’s a brighter yellow then what’s in the photo. I still love it!I was so proud of this comforter until I was forced to wash it. PLEASE dry on low heat or hang to dry. The batting inside bunched up around the edges. My fault I know but please be aware.I am pleased with the colors and the size for our queen sized bed. I do not like the dust ruffle because it doesn’t look good on the bed. It goes well with the color scheme in the bedroom and I would purchase it again.The print on the comforter seemed a little off in some places, but because the pattern is busy it wasn't super noticeable. The sheets are a bit rough/stiff. The only thing I would have liked is for the sheets to be softer. Hopefully after a few washes this problem will be solved. Well worth the money.The absolute worst quality ever! I’ve had this for not even a month and it’s bunching, the material is so thin, it fit good and is very pretty but the sheets are like sandpaper, I’ve washed them 3 times and still are terrible, will be buying something else right away and it definitely will not be this brand!!! It is a totally waste of money, it’s sad!! Such a ripe off!Very pretty but very thin fabric on the quilt and shams. The sheets are terrible. Very poor quality and very stiff and course. I love the colours but for the price product could be much better.Very comfortable and warm comforter. I did find that after a couple of weeks of use the fitted sheet got a hole in it. I am not sure if they arrived that way or if it just happened one night.
