I ordered the duvet in White. I figured for summer to just put a light cotton blanket in it instead of anything heavier. After laying it out on my bed to see how it looked and to inspect it, it had this pinkish tint to the white. Was something on it? Was it washed with a reddish tint? It looks stained but I don't see any stains. The shag looks white but it just seems there's a light reddish pinkish tint at various angles with lighting and shadows. I tried different lighting and still saw an odd cast of color to the shag.. When inspecting it inside-out, I discovered the fabric that the shag is woven into is a very light pink color and not white..I took photos comparing the shag backing material compared to the duvet backside which is a pure white. And then photos of how the shag has that tint to it. Maybe that pinkish fabric is showing thru and making the shag look tinted? I don't know, but I just can't get past that and will be returning it and see if another manufacturer has used a definite white fabric for the shag backing. May e this was a fluke as no one has commented about it with theirs. Also, FYI, it doesn't have squared tufted sections like the photos show. It's just flat, no sections to it. They prob used a comforter inside it that had tufts and shaped the squares by hand on the duvet for the photos. Kinda misleading. On a positive note, this is SO soft. I think the duvet has an appropriate amount of shag woven. I didn't come across any sparse areas and it didn't appear "thin" or cheap. Aside from the pinkish tint coming thru, I can say the white is a white. Not an ivory white or bluish white, just a true white if you're picky about white like me lol. I would certainly keep this if it wasn't for that pinkish tint on the base of the shag.Soft and pretty was not enough here. I tried and tried to get my granddaughters blanket secured inside this duvet cover but it was not worth the struggle. So I returned it.Best for if your trying to keep your dog from ripping a normal comforter. This he has no chance.It’s not as thick as the picture but it’s still awesome. Super soft and looks great. My daughter loves it. My other daughter did too…. So I just ordered another one. Kids ?I'll probably buy it in several more colors because it's so soft and comfy.Just as describedSoft and comfy!Nice and furry. Holds a queen size comforter perfectly. My 13 yr old loves it. Haven't needed to wash it yet.
